The destructive activities of the Theresa May government lead to painful adaptation after Brexit. Relations between London and Europe will also become tense, believes Sergei Zhelezniak Zhelezniak Sergei Vladimiroviсh Zhelezniak

“Obviously, the long-term relationship between London and the rest of Europe will become tense, despite assurances of both sides to maintain close cooperation,” the parliamentarian said, noting that the Brexit agreement is unfavorable and financially costly for London.

The EU countries adopted draft agreements on the withdrawal of Great Britain from the EU. In particular, the leaders of 27 EU countries approved the withdrawal agreement and the political declaration on the future EU-UK relationship.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said that the British Parliament should approve the text of the Brexit agreement agreed by London and Brussels. She also once again declared that she would not resign and would not allow the second referendum on Brexit.

London and Brussels began to discuss the conditions under which Britain will withdraw from the EU on June 19, 2017. A year before opponents of European integration won with a minimum advantage (51.9% vs. 48.1%) in the United Kingdom referendum.

Britain will officially withdraw from the European Union on March 29, 2019. The transition period will last until the end of 2020.
