The Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin
Vyacheslav Victorovich The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast) met with the Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un in Pyongyang.

“Let me convey warm words of greetings and best wishes from our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and congratulations on your re-election as Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.

He noted that “it is a great honor to be in Pyongyang these days, to take part in the opening ceremony of the Memorial Complex and the Museum of the Military Deeds of the Heroes of the Foreign Military Operation.” The Chairman of the State Duma also expressed gratitude for Kim Jong-un for the assistance provided in liberation of the Kursk region from neo-Nazi invaders.

The comrade Kim Jong-un expressed deep appreciation and asked to convey his warm greetings to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The leader of the DPRK highly appreciated and welcomed the high-level delegation led by Vyacheslav Volodin sent to the ceremony of completion of construction of the Memorial Museum of the Military Deeds of the Heroes of the Foreign Military Operation and called it a sign of expressing support and will of the leadership of Russia and intention to attach great importance to the allied relations between the two countries, their strengthening and development.

Kim Jong-un also noted the fact that armies and peoples of both states were fighting shoulder to shoulder and achieved victory in the operation liberating the Kursk region and called it a historic event which proved the power and strength of the allied relations between our two countries – the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation. He said that the visit of the Russian delegation would become an important moment in arousing the feeling of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries at a new level.

On behalf of the President of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin will take part in the official opening ceremony of the Memorial Complex and the Museum of the Militry Deeds of the Heroes of the Foreign Military Operation dedicated to the courage of the Korean soldiers who took part in the operation and helped liberate the Kursk region from neo-Nazis.
