“Our delegations still participate in the most important inter-parliamentary events, we hold dozens of bilateral meetings, which once again confirm that Russia is not alone in the world, it has strategic and trading partners with whom it conducts an active dialogue,” the parliamentarian added.
According to him, today the only “fly in the ointment” is the relationship with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). “In my opinion, it is connected not so much with accusations against Russia, as with the internal crisis of the organization itself. After all, the resolution, which could have given a possibility for Russia to return to the Parliamentary Assembly, affected not only our delegation, it was meant to prevent discriminatory actions against representatives of any PACE member state in the future,” the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma believes.
