Issues of economic cooperation, ecology and environmental protection were also raised at the meeting. The meeting was held within the framework of the Third Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments in Antalya.
Dastan Jumabekov said that ”The Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments is becoming an important interparliamentary platform for exchanging opinions, developing common approaches and solving urgent problems.“
Viacheslav Volodin also noted the need to develop relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, including at the level of relevant committees of the parliaments of the two countries.
During the meeting, Dastan Jumabekov reminded that the Kyrgyz Republic recognizes two official languages – Kyrgyz and Russian, and expressed gratitude to the State Duma for the adoption in 2017 of the bill on the establishment of rights to work as professional drivers in Russia on the basis of national driving licenses for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as well as other countries where the Russian language is recognized as official language.
