The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
with the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nuriddinjon Ismoilov was held within the framework of the Third Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments.
Viacheslav Volodin noted the relevance of the issues that will be discussed in the framework of the Meeting for all participating countries, including the issues of the economic development of the countries of Eurasia, ecology, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
“It is important to find solutions to problems that worry our citizens,” the Chairman of the State Duma stressed. He also said that all these issues need to be addressed together, using the dialogue between states, and the format of the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments allows it.
Nuriddinjon Ismoilov thanked the Russian side as one of the co-organizers of this meeting for inviting Uzbekistan to participate in it.
Viacheslav Volodin proposed to intensify the interaction of the parliaments of Russia and Uzbekistan in order to implement agreements reached by the presidents of the two countries.
“We need to build work not only at the level of our contacts but also at the level of relevant committees, this will ensure effectiveness,” said the Chairman of the State Duma at the bilateral meeting. It is also important to involve representatives of regional legislative bodies in international contacts, said Viacheslav Volodin. This will contribute to the economic development of the regions and the strengthening of ties between countries.
This is the first participation of Uzbekistan in the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments.
