Amendments to the Law ”On the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation“ were proposed by a group of members of the State Duma. The first reading of the bill was approved on April 6.
The law proposes to give Rosgvardia the right ”to carry out the delivery of floating facilities (vessels) and means of committing an administrative offense in accordance with the legislation on administrative violations“.

. “By this amendment, we expand the powers of the marine brigade of the troops of the National Guard, specially created to protect this facility. Now the Russian guards will be also able to detain foreign intruders in the Kerch Strait, accompany them to ports and register offenses. In light of the tense situation that persists in the region, this norm is particularly important“.
Corresponding amendments to the Code on Administrative Offenses are also proposed by the draft law submitted by the Government of the Russian Federation. The first reading of the bill was approved by the State Duma.
