of the commission.
Now the parties are discussing possible topics to be reviewed by the commission related to digital economy, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, and development of regional and interparliamentary connections. The first session of the Commission is scheduled for autumn 2018.

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
proposed to create commission at the meeting with the delegation of parliamentarians of Bundestag headed by Thomas Oppermann in Moscow on 8 June 2018. It was noted that relations between
parliaments of both countries were frozen for a long time. The proposal on the creation of a joint commission on a permanent basis to ensure effective
cooperation between the State Duma and the Bundestag was supported by the German counterpart.
