The Chairman of the Committee

Vladimir Vladimirovich
noted the necessity of developing comprehensive
strategic partnership and cooperation with India. Vladimir Gutenev is a member of the Russian delegation headed by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav
Volodin
Vyacheslav Victorovich
Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (Elected in a single mandate electoral district № 164 – Saratov district, Saratov Oblast)
at the 12th International BRICS Parliamentary Forum in New
Delhi.
According to the parliamentarian, Vyacheslav Volodin announced an important initiative of creating an AI expert council within the BRICS framework. “This would help exchange legislative experience and develop approaches to implement promising projects. There was also a proposal to enhance cooperation between the relevant parliamentary committees,” he stressed.
“In this regard, India’s industrial policy is particularly interesting. The country has consistently been implementing its strategy ‘Made in India’ by attracting high-tech enterprises and expanding localization. At the same time, Russia is still a serious partner of New Delhi not only in energy, military and technical cooperation and large infrastructure projects, but also in advanced technology development,” emphasized Vladimir Gutenev.
“It is important for enterprises to shift from discussions of common priorities to concrete cooperation measures. Reduction of trade barriers, creation of joint ventures and technological exchange could give great results for companies of our countries,” stressed the Chairman of the Committee on Industry and Trade.
Vladimir Gutenev noted the special potential of transport engineering, including construction of high-speed highways. “India is actively developing localization of high-tech products and considers Russia as serious partner. It gives an additional impetus to industrial cooperation, joint production of technical equipment and technological exchange,” he noted.
“It is important to create necessary legislative conditions to implement the strategic agreements and create new industries, technologies and additional capabilities for economies of both countries,” emphasized the parliamentarian.
On October 26 and 27, New Delhi hosts the 12th International BRICS Parliamentary Forum. The main theme of the Forum is “Fostering Parliaments for People-Centric Development.”
