“Russian companies have good positions among the member states (of BRICS – editor’s note) both in relation to digital technology adoption rates and to planning. By 2030, we suppose that 95% of our domestic industries will use AI,” stressed Alexander Sidyakin in his speech.

The parliamentarian gave an example of the current state of healthcare system. According to him, in Moscow 60 AI-services help medical personnel to detect the causes of diseases. Thus, as said the parliamentarian, AI introduction in Russia helps “shift from practical medicine to a real health management” and that leads to faster diagnostics and better quality of life.

The Chairman of the Committee on Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence also proposed to create within the BRICS framework “a common bank that would help check AI-solutions for social area and human development.” “Each country can include there state draft projects for clinics, schools, social services, and personal AI-tools for self-education. We can join efforts and provide all the necessary language adaptation, employees’ training and upscaling,” emphasized Alexander Sidyakin.

Earlier, Vyacheslav Volodin addressed the participants of the plenary session on the topic “Sustainability: Role of parliaments in maintaining sustainability of state institutions of future development”, where he proposed to create an expert council within the BRICS framework with participation of relevant AI specialists.
