“attaches great importance to the development of relations with Mongolia.”
“We should develop various formats of cooperation: interregional, border, and, of course, inter-parliamentary format. It is important for us that the Commission, which meeting will be held soon, will lay foundation for new relations that will be based on commitments, seminal basis. It will help us reach a new level of cooperation, where within the parliamentary dimension, we will be able to discuss issues of harmonization of legislation and of providing legislative assistance for development of trade relations, issues related to transport, economy, finance, energy, and, of course, humanitarian issues,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Chairman of the State Duma proposed to enhance cooperation at the level of relevant parliamentary Committees to discuss issues of concern of bilateral relations between Russia and Mongolia in a working order.
“Development of relations and cooperation with the Russian Federation remains one of the priorities of the foreign policy of Mongolia,” stressed Gombojavyn Zandanshatar.
“Cooperation between the parliaments as organizations expressing the will of the people, our voters, is an important part of cooperation between our states. In this regard, the State Great Khural and the Government of Mongolia support the enhancement of cooperation,” added Gombojavyn Zandanshatar.
Russia and Mongolia are strengthening cooperation in various field, as noted Gombojavyn Zandanshatar. Speaking about the humanitarian field, the Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia said that there was a Russian-Mongolian school in Ulaanbaatar, where students were educated in two languages. There were also plans to build more schools like that one in other regions of the country, he added.
Vyacheslav Volodin invited the members of the State Great Khural to pay a visit to Russia and proposed to hold the second meeting of the Commission on cooperation in Moscow in 2024.

Assembly of the Russian Federation and the State Great Khural of Mongolia will
be held in Ulaanbaatar on September 25. The agenda includes issues of providing
legislative assistance to economic, financial, interbank cooperation between
Russia and Mongolia, as well as transport, energy, agricultural and tourism
cooperation.
