That was a very important event, because not just a public figure, but a well-known economist Jeffrey Sachs, who chaired the Lancet commission and prepared a large report on the COVID consequences, has communicated with the parliamentary investigation commission,” said Irina Yarovaya Yarovaya Irina Anatolievna Yarovaya

after the meeting.

According to her, the meeting “made it possible to reach a new quality of understanding of a number of issues” and also gave Jeffrey Sachs the opportunity to receive new information from Russian parliamentarians.

“We asked Mr. Sachs about his own assessment of the participation of the military personnel in the creation and work of biological laboratories around the world, he expressed his negative attitude as a citizen towards the fact that the military departments are engaged in secret, dangerous biological research”, said the Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma.

She added that they also asked the question of how citizens and the US officials would react if laboratories similar to those created in Ukraine had appeared near the borders of the United States of America, Jeffrey Sachs replied that he considered Russia’s suspicions justified and legitimate. “It is really important for us that the activities of the parliamentary investigation commission with facts and evidence should be legitimate and open,” she added.

Irina Yarovaya added that the American scientist agreed with the parliamentarians that the consequences of various epidemics could be devastating, as it was with the COVID pandemic.

“Based on the fact that the USA claims to be a leader of a unipolar world and to manage the world economy, we asked whether those laboratories could be used as a new tool for managing the global economy and the world's population,” Irina Yarovaya said. “We see that Mr. Sachs and other scientists realize that the world must unite in order to prevent the development and use of the most dangerous weapon of mass destruction, such as biological weapons,” she added.

Irina Yarovaya also emphasized that the members of the Parliamentary Commission were very satisfied with the results of the dialogue. “Openness and impartiality of asking questions and the opportunity to hear answers is always a form of trust, it is always a format of new mutual understanding. And we are convinced that the dialogue with Mr. Sachs will be a good example and our proposals to the parliaments of other countries to appeal to the US officials, Congress [demanding] to provide information about the DTRA secret activities around the world will interest the public and different nations,” concluded the Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma.

The Parliamentary Commission of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Investigation into the Circumstances Related to Creation of Biological Laboratories by the US Specialists on the territory of Ukraine was initiated by the State Duma.
