The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
on his Telegram channel.
He emphasized that “it is impossible to solve the security issues of one state at the expense of others”.
“The United States and NATO expansion eastwards had undermined all the previous agreements. All our fears were confirmed by Zelensky's statements on the ambitions to possess nuclear weapons. Washington’s activities caused such a situation and the world would have unavoidably faced a big war without solving this issue,” he stressed.
“We should not let it happen,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin. “Given that Washington and Brussels rejected Russia’s proposals on global security issues, and Kiev had refused to implement the Minsk agreements for eight years, the demilitarization of Ukraine is the only way in that situation.”
“That is the way that will prevent war in Europe. The only way to stop the bloodbath and humanitarian catastrophe,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
“Members of the State Duma support the decision of our President Vladimir V. Putin to conduct a special military peacekeeping operation. Its purpose is to protect people living in Ukraine,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.
He addressed the citizens of Ukraine and recalled that people of Russia “considered and still consider them as fraternal people”: “The activities of our country are aimed only at protecting peace. We ask you not to get involved and not participate in any mobilizations proposed by the Kiev authorities. They are not independent; all orders are given by Washington and Brussels.”
“The special operation does not pose a threat to civilians,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma and urged to remember our common history, common victories, one culture and faith.
“You should ask your loved ones who are currently in service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to lay down their arms. They do not need to participate in protecting NATO and US interests, obeying the criminal orders of the Kiev anti-people regime,” he stressed.
“We cannot remain indifferent to the fate of Ukraine. We should think about the future, as it common for all of us. We should live in friendship, harmony, remember that our grandfathers and fathers fought together,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma.
He also addressed members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: “Colleagues, be reasonable and show your will. If you love your Motherland, do everything to make Ukraine a peaceful state. Many of you do not like the fact that your country has lost its sovereignty, and that the US advisers rule in ministries and departments.”
“Russia has never been an enemy to Ukraine. The People's Republics of Donbass asked for help. Citizens of Ukraine, your voters, are waiting for our help. Further life decisions should be made. It is time for you to make a choice,” concluded Vyacheslav Volodin.
