According to the parliamentarian, “ignoring the appeals of UN Secretary General António Guterres and adhering to the line of domination at any cost (in the case of a pandemic — at the cost of human lives) is a short-sighted and inhumane policy. Thousands of patients, in particular in Iran, are deprived of the possibility of obtaining qualified medical care due to illegal American restrictions that have been taken to circumvent the UN Security Council.”
“The coronavirus and the economic crisis provoked by it have become a global threat, which can be overcome only by joining efforts. And the sanctions are not helping, but, vice versa, they are quite destructive,” summed up Leonid Slutskiy.
