“The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on “manipulation proposals” on the abolition of anti-Russian sanctions in connection with the coronavirus is a cynical provocation. He added that it should be admitted that any sanction restrictions only exacerbate the global economic downturn. “It would be naive to believe that same Ukraine would receive any additional bonuses in the context of Russian countermeasures in the impending crisis,” believes Leonid Slutskiy.
“Such a position is nothing but a short-sighted manifestation of national egoism. Once again, I would like to emphasize: a pandemic is not the time for mutual accusations and escalation. All resources must be directed to the fight against COVID-19 and its global implications,” concluded the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs.
