delivered a speech at the International Conference in Serbia. The politician spoke about how Ukraine sees the peninsula.

According to Poklonskaia, Kiev is well aware that most Crimean residents voted to withdraw from Ukraine and reunite with Russia. And the realization of this fact causes the undisguised hatred of Ukrainian radicals in relation to the inhabitants of the peninsula.

“During the referendum, various Ukrainian politicians called the Crimeans “traitors” and stated that they would make Crimea “deserted”, Natalia Poklonskaia recalled.

She added that Ukraine itself has done everything to push away 2.5 million Crimeans, using energy, water, food, transport and other blockades of Crimea.

“No country on the planet has the right to be a prison for nations. Attempts to challenge the results of the Crimean referendum are attempts to lie to themselves and deny the obvious: this is what the people wanted, and they made their choice,” Natalia Poklonskaia emphasized.
