“The Western countries, led by the United States, has been recently increasing deterrence and pressure on China and Russia at time of intensive changes in the world and in the region,” Li Zhanshu said and emphasized that our countries are seen in the West as strategic competitors that should be deterred. The United States, as he said, is ‘strengthening its interference in our internal affairs’ and tries to use every opportunity to provoke all kinds of unrest and color revolutions.
“The main purpose of my visit, of course, is to discuss with our Russian counterparts the ways to prevent the attempts of the Western states to organize “color revolutions” and interfere in our internal affairs with a help of our legislative activities, through our cooperation,” said the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China.
He also stressed that China has evidence that the US is involved in the Hong Kong protests.
“And we will not conceal that we see how the USA and the Western states are trying to drive a wedge between us, but our leaders know about it, and I am glad that this situation does not affect the relations of our countries,” Li Zhanshu said.

But, alas, the United States is doing everything to ensure that such laws are not adopted in our countries.“
In addition, Viacheslav Volodin said: “Our task is that in the framework of the parliamentary dimension we all should unite and take concrete steps: stop those who have gone too far so that we can get back to the rules that have been worked out. And this is recognition of the UN supremacy. We need to return to our recognition of the priority of international agreements. ”
