The Second International Forum ”Development of Parliamentarism“ to be held on July 1–3 on the initiative of the State Duma.
This year, representatives from 132 countries are expected to participate in the Forum. About 800 foreign guests and delegations from 14 international parliamentary organizations will take part in the events.
More than 400 Russian and foreign journalists have been accredited.

Major events will be provided with simultaneous translations into the UN official languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish).
The Forum participants arrived during two days — June 29–30. These days, foreign guests were offered cultural activities.
The major events of the Second International Forum ”Development of Parliamentarism“ statr on July 1 at the World Trade Center on Krasnopresnenskaya naberezhnaya. The first plenary session- the opening of the Forum will be held at 11:00 am. Thematic sections and round tables are planned to take place after that.
The role of legislators in ensuring international security, legislative solutions for the development of the digital economy, as well as the environmental legislative agenda and the fight against fake news and other important topics will be discussed at the Forum.
On July 2, the Forum work will be continued in sections. A round table where participants will be able to discuss international humanitarian law and humanitarian cooperation will also be held. In addition, sections and round tables of the Parliamentary Conference “Russia-Africa” are planned.
The second plenary session of the Forum will be held at 5:00 pm, where the Forum Final Statement is expected to be adopted.
On July 3, the plenary session of the Parliamentary Conference “Russia-Africa” will begin at 9:00 am, and the final plenary session of the Forum will be held at 12:00.

with Speakers of some foreign Parliaments are expected to be held on the sidelines of the Forum.
