between Russia and the Republic of Korea. “We have achieved a lot over the years,” he stated. The head of the Committee reminded that the joint efforts of the Russian and South Korean parliamentarians had created a fundamentally new format
of interaction, the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments. “Russia
and South Korea are its co-founders,” added Slutskiy.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Korea, including the preparation for the first meeting of the High-Level Inter-Parliamentary Commission, were discussed. “It will not be a meeting for the sake of the meeting. We will be opened and interested in talking about the most difficult issues on the regional agenda: strategic stability, the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula with the participation of Seoul and Pyongyang, bilateral relations and business cooperation,” the parliamentarian promised.
The meeting of the High-Level Inter-Parliamentary Commission is scheduled in Moscow.
