“A delegation of French politicians headed by President of the Association “Franco-Russian Dialogue ” Thierry Mariani will again visit the Crimea and take part in celebrations to mark the fifth anniversary of the annexation of the peninsula to Russia. The visit will take place on March 13–16,” said Leonid Slutskiy Slutsky Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky

He noted that the delegation consist of honorary members of the French parliament, former and current members of the National Assembly, representatives of the French municipal authorities.

“The program of the visit includes meetings with the leadership of the Republic of Crimea and members of the Youth Parliament of the Peninsula, visits to the French military cemetery and the cultural center Alliance Française,” said the Chairman of the Committee.

Leonid Slutskiy reminded that Thierry Mariani had twice led the delegations of French deputies and senators who visited the Peninsula in 2015 and 2016, and “then, thanks to these trips, Europe learned that the Crimea and Sevastopol returned to their native harbor, to Russia, voluntarily upon the wish of the Crimeans themselves.“

“Then some of these politicians lost the mandates of the deputies of the National Assembly of France, but that didn’t stop them calling white as white and black as black without changing their position and sticking to common sense,” Leonid Slutskiy stressed.
