Ivan Melnikov met with the new Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus

Ivan Ivanovich and Vladimir Semashko discussed issues on bilateral Russian-Belarusian relations with an emphasis on the upcoming joint work in a Russian-Belarusian working group on the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty establishing the Union State. The First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma and the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia are members of this group.

The Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union were named as strategic platforms for interstate cooperation by the participants of the meeting. The main efforts of Moscow and Minsk should be concentrated on these platforms to further deepen the integration processes between Russia and Belarus.
