noted that nowadays ”there is a stable positive dynamics in domestic and foreign policy, trade and economic sphere, scientific and technical area, defense and other key directions of state construction“ in China.
”Russia and China are dealing with largely similar historical tasks. They are irreplaceable strategic partners for each other. Our relations are on an unprecedented rise,“ Ivan Melnikov said.
According to the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, ”a comprehensive confidential partnership and strategic cooperation are based on strong traditions of friendship and mutual support, the coincidence of fundamental national interests, the understanding of the non-alternative long-term good-neighborly relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.“
He reminded that three meetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, including full-scale summits in Beijing and Vladivostok, have already taken place this year. By the end of the year the 23rd regular meeting of the heads of government is scheduled.
”The contacts between the parliamentarians of the two countries are actively developing, the experience of legislative, control and international activities is being exchanged,“ Ivan Melnikov emphasized.
”By the end of the year, the volume of bilateral trade will overcome, with a high probability, a record mark of 100 billion dollars.
This clearly demonstrates that the use of unreasonable sanctions by the US and its allies only strengthens our cooperation. Russia and China are successfully developing cooperation in the energy sector, deepening mutually beneficial ties in high-tech industries, civil aviation, space, processing industry, agriculture,“ Ivan Melnikov said in his speech.
According to the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, the “Years of Interregional Cooperation”, held in 2018–2019, gave a powerful impetus to the exchanges at the level of local administrations. The closest attention is paid to contacts in the humanitarian sphere, within which a social basis for future political and practical cooperation is being formed.
”The Russian-Chinese tie has firmly established itself as one of the key factors in maintaining international security and stability, the formation of a multipolar world order, democratization of global governance mechanisms, ensuring the supremacy of international law,“ concluded Ivan Melnikov.
