took part,
it was noted that social entrepreneurship makes it possible to reduce the severity of social problems, provides an opportunity for employment to socially
unprotected categories of citizens, and improve their living conditions.
One of the key issues of discussion was women's social entrepreneurship as a driver for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia and innovations in this area.
Participants confirmed the need for targeted regulatory support of social entrepreneurship in Russia.
Olga Epifanova believes that social entrepreneurship brings positive changesto society: “Today we talk a lot about the creative role of women, educated, active and comprehensively developed. After all, these women form the public's attitude to everything that happens in the country and in the world, in politics and in culture”.
“And in social entrepreneurship, women find a natural environment for the realization of their abilities. We can say with confidence that the majority of social entrepreneurial projects have a “woman's face”, the member of the State Duma believes.
“Nevertheless, the share of social entrepreneurship in our country does not exceed 1%,” the Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma told.
Olga Epifanova thinks that one of the most difficult barriers is the problem with access to education and, as a result, a low level of financial and digital literacy. “We need to create educational projects in the field of digital economy for women who are already engaged or want to get intothe business,” she said.
“In addition, recently we have more talks about social entrepreneurship as an important resource for the economic development of our country. And the development of the economy is only a means to improve the quality of people's lives. And here one more side of social entrepreneurship is revealed, perhaps the most important one, it is a powerful resource for the formation and development of the social environment of the society,” the parliamentarian said.
“That's why I'm sure that today's event is of great importance for solving the problems that our country faces,” concluded Olga Epifanova.
