“Mold dies in the light. The recent statement made by the Prime Minister of Armenia Pashinyan that ‘he will
pay for each spoiled pepper’, which will not be sent to Russia due to restrictions,
just clearly shows that,” posted
the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin
Vyacheslav Victorovich
The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
on his MAX channel.
According to him, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan “uses the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to become a member of the European Union (EU) and tries to solve all his problems at the EAEU expense, first of all, of Russia.”
Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized that the leadership of Armenia “does not tell openly the population about the EU transfer, hides from the people of the country the consequences of the withdrawal from the EAEU, specifically:
- gas will cost almost four times more for citizens;
- cross-border money transfers from Armenia to Russia that reaches almost four billion dollars a year (2/3 of all transfers) will be drastically reduced;
- migration benefits when they come to Russia will be canceled and it will be possible to get a job only if they have a patent for work;
- flowers and food supplies, including berries, fruits, vegetables (even pepper), fish, alcohol and mineral water from Armenia to our country will be stopped.
“We have seen the same in Ukraine. When they adopted a decision to join the EU, they mentioned some good things, including the prospects for development. But in reality, it turned out that the agricultural products from Ukraine were not allowed to be sent to the European markets. As there were introduced strict and unprofitable tariff quotas. Armenia will follow the same path,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, “it looks like Pashinyan made a personal commitment to make Armenia an EU member and he is doing everything for that, meanwhile he tries to shift all the costs of joining to the EAEU and Russia”.
“It is obvious that he does not care about Armenian people and Armenia’s sovereignty. In this case, he only thinks about protecting his personal power. BUT THE PRICE WILL BE VERY HIGH…”, he concluded.
