The museum's exhibition is located on three floors and tells about the events of the Korean people's struggle against Japanese militarism and the Fatherland Liberation War (1950–1953). There is a special exhibition dedicated to the assistance provided to the DPRK by friendly states – the USSR and China. The museum's collection includes more than 300 items of the Republic’s military glory, including over 120,000 relics, objects, and materials.

In the museum's courtyard, there is an open pavilion with captured weapons and equipment, including those seized during the war. There is the USS Pueblo, which was seized by sailors of the Korean People's Army during an intelligence operation in territorial waters in 1968.

On behalf of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Chairman of the State Duma will take part in the official opening ceremony of the Memorial Complex and the Museum of the Military Deeds of the Heroes of the Foreign Military Operation dedicated to courage and bravery of the Korean soldiers who took part in the operation and helped liberate the Kursk region from neo-Nazis.
