The State Duma adopted an Address to the National Assembly of the French Republic, the House of Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Parliament, and the United Nations regarding information about the plans of leadership of France and the United Kingdom to deliver nuclear weapon to Ukraine
Following the discussion, the members of the State Duma decided to include the Bundestag in the list of states that would receive the text of the appeal. As it was noted, the German Chancellor was aware of the plans to transfer components for the creation of a nuclear weapon to Ukraine but concealed this information from the German parliament.
“We cannot leave it without any reaction. We have to react. If even one member of parliament in these countries will be more responsible than the head of this state and investigates the situation, then we can say that have done everything we can to ensure that the international community and our colleagues, European politicians, are informed and, by providing this information, we have done everything possible to stop this madness,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin

The document notes that members of the State Duma “express their concern over the plans of the leaders of France and the United Kingdom to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine, with the intention to pass off this criminal act as if it were the Kiev regime that single-handedly developed those weapons” and regard such intentions “as a flagrant violation of international law, in particular the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons”.
“Such an act risks pushing the world to the brink of a nuclear catastrophe,” as says the text of the Address.
According to the parliamentarians, the realisation of these reckless plans by the leaders of France and UK “will likely result in an escalation of the conflict and a global tragedy”.
“Conscious of the grave danger that is posed by the transfer of nuclear weapons, separate components or means of their delivery to the imminently doomed antipopular criminal Kiev regime, the members of the State Duma call upon the French and British parliaments, the European Parliament, as well upon the specialised agencies and bodies within the United Nations system to take emergency actions to prevent the unfolding of such a scenario,” says the document. “We kindly ask you, esteemed colleagues, to conduct an impartial investigation into this situation which poses a threat to international security,” emphasize members of the State Duma.
The parliamentarians are convinced that “this should be of vital importance as a major step towards maintaining peace and holding accountable those who plan to grossly violate the fundamental commitments underlying the global nuclear non-proliferation regime”.
