Vyacheslav Victorovich
The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
and members of the State Duma expressed their
condolences to members of the US Congress in connection with the consequences
of the snowstorm in the USA.
“51 people died, and 10 people froze to death in New York City. We should express our condolences to our colleagues in the US Congress, as well as to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives during the snowstorm,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
“When there are imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation, introducing restrictions on the oil and gas supplies, the European states and the United States of America do this, so they should understand that the Russian Federation produces oil and gas not under palms but during the temperature that could reach – 50 in winter and + 50 in summer”, noted Vyacheslav Volodin. “In these difficult conditions we do our best to supply oil and gas to other countries. So that people there will not freeze,” he added.
The Chairman of the State Duma also stressed that “sanctions result in deaths and freezing”. “That is why they should think with their head before making such decisions. They should do their things and not counter development of other states,” he emphasized.
“Our former citizens who moved to those countries should think about the possible consequences if they did not take warm clothes with them. They might not even come back from there,” concluded Vyacheslav Volodin.
