The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
said to RT channel that 82 years ago Kiev was liberated from the Nazi invaders. “On November 6, the troops of the 1st Ukrainian Front of the Red Army showed enormous courage and heroism and inflicted a crushing defeat on the Nazis who had captured the city for more than two years,” he recalled.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, the price of freedom from the fascists was very high. “But the Ukraine has forgotten about that, about how our grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought for peace shoulder to shoulder and liberated Kiev. The puppets controlled by Europe have made the modern Ukraine into a platform used in their selfish interests in their attempts to destroy Russia. The Ukrainians are considered as consumable materials in the war against Russia,” he added.

Ukraine had lost its sovereignty, as noted Vyacheslav Volodin. He stressed that “the bloody Kiev regime has rewritten the history of the country, banned the religion of the Ukrainian majority and Russian language which is native to many of them”.

“By justifying collaborators, they promote the cult of scoundrels, executioners and criminals like Bandera and Shukhevich, humiliating their fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers who fought against the fascist invaders. In return, citizens received only promises of a better life, which led to Maidan protests, a split in society, the sale of Ukrainian lands to Western corporations, and economic decline,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.

Such forgetfulness could lead to the most serious consequences, as stressed the Chairman of the State Duma. “No matter how hard the European puppet masters try, the criminal regime will fail to stay. The goals of the special military operation will be achieved. The Nazis will be defeated again, just as it was 82 years ago!” he concluded.
