noted that the Russian democracy
is older than the democracy in some European states that like to teach us rights
and freedoms.
He emphasized that France should not forget who helped provide the women’s political rights.
“When we talk about democracy, our Russian women were granted all political rights in 1918. And in France women were permitted to vote only in 1945, just on October 21,” recalled the Chairman of the State Duma.
“Our Soviet soldiers and officers by defeating fascism made everything possible for democracy in France and provided political rights to French women. Women of France should not forget about this,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
