Minister Phạm Minh Chính. They discussed issues of trade and economic
cooperation between the two countries.
Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized that Russia “highly values its established relations with Vietnam”. “Our cooperation is comprehensive. Inter-parliamentary contacts help us find solutions for providing legislative support for the implementation of the goals set by our heads of state,” he said.
Vyacheslav Volodin told about the meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the State Duma and the National Assembly of Vietnam held in Hanoi the day before.
“We identified priority issues: development of trade cooperation, tourism, and energy. We also discussed issues related to creating a legal framework for the economy so that, in the face of challenges, we will be able to create conditions for further development,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
Phạm Minh Chính expressed confidence that the official visit of the Chairman of the State Duma to Vietnam would further strengthen Russia-Vietnam relations. “We value and remember the assistance provided to us by the Soviet Union in the past and by modern Russia. All of this is a valuable asset, a solid foundation, impetus, and inspiration for the current generation to develop our relations,” he added.
The Chairman of the State Duma is paying an official visit to Vietnam. He has met with the President of Vietnam Lương Cường. Vyacheslav Volodin also met with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic Trần Thanh Mẫn.
The fourth meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the State Duma and the National Assembly of Vietnam was also held in Hanoi.
