The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
visited the Joint Russia-Vietnam Tropical Science and Technology Research Center.
The center studies tropical materials and tropical ecology, conducting year-round monitoring. It was established by the Agreement on Cooperation between the Governments of the USSR and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on March 7, 1987. On September 6, 2018, there was signed an intergovernmental protocol to adapt the center's work to modern` conditions.
Over the decades of its operation, the center has become a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary scientific organization, unique in global practice.
“When we work together, in harmony, we succeed,” said Vyacheslav Volodin during his visit to the center.
The Chairman of the State Duma is paying an official visit to Vietnam. Vyacheslav Volodin has met with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic Trần Thanh Mẫn. They discussed legislative support measures for bilateral cooperation in various fields. The fourth meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the State Duma and the National Assembly of the Republic will be held in Hanoi. As earlier noted Vyacheslav Volodin, the agenda includes issues of development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and investment climate, strengthening energy ties and role of parliaments in building a just safe world, monitoring scientific and technological legislation, enhancing educational, cultural and tourism cooperation.
