“Tsarist Russia had all these resources, but in 1917 it ceased to exist. The Soviet Union also obtained huge resources, but the country collapsed in 1991. In the 90s, Russia had also resources, but it is hard for all of us to talk about this time. And there are definitely not positive emotions in anyone about that period of time,” he added.

“I will emphasize once again what I said earlier, more than 10 years ago: Russia's advantage comparing to other countries is not oil, not gas, not rare metals. Our country's advantage is President Putin,” noted Vyacheslav Volodin.

According to him, that is why, more than ever, “nowadays, in a period of challenges and foreign aggression, it is extremely important to consolidate all citizens and political forces around the head of our state, and relying on it, he will be able to defend the interests of the country and do everything for its security.”

“In the most difficult time for Russia — in the early 2000s, he managed to stop the war in the Caucasus, to unite the Russian Federation, which was falling apart, he created a political system resilient to challenges and an effective economic model. It is proved by the ongoing development in a situation where more than 22 thousand sanctions have been imposed against us,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.

“Our country has been recently overcoming many challenges. The President's role in this is enormous,” noted Vyacheslav Volodin.

“Analyzing the statements made by the leaders of France, Spain, Poland, the authorities of Germany and the European Union following the recent meeting held between Trump and Zelensky, we can make a conclusion: they do not realize their responsibility to the citizens of their countries and do not think about the future. Their behavior is inadequate,” posted the Chairman of the State Duma.

Vyacheslav Volodin also emphasized that “they are only temporary politicians who create big problems primarily for their people and countries. They consider the people of Ukraine to be nothing more than expendable material.”

“The difference between our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and them is that, first of all, he cares about the people and our country — Russia,” concluded Vyacheslav Volodin.
