met with the Speaker
of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Suresh Narwekar in Mumbai.
Issues of legislative support for trade and economic cooperation at the interregional level, as well as the development of humanitarian ties, including in the scientific and educational areas, were discussed at the meeting.
The second day of the official visit of the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and the Russian parliamentary delegation to India takes place in Mumbai. Vyacheslav Volodin met earlier in New Delhi with the President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu and Speakers of both chambers of the Parliament — Jagdeep Dhankhar and Om Birla. Members of the State Duma also paid tribute to the memory of the famous political figure Mahatma Gandhi.
