According to him, the economies of the BRICS countries, representing almost half of the world's population, are developing at a faster pace and demonstrate sustainability.
“The share of BRICS in global GDP at purchasing power parity will reach 36.7% by the end of the year, and that will be much bigger that the share of the G7. And this gap will only grow,” noted Vyacheslav Volodin.
The BRICS countries are also developing inter-parliamentary cooperation, as recalls the Chairman of the State Duma: “This format of cooperation will expand.”
The Chairman of the State Duma also recalled that the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum was held in St. Petersburg in July, where were discussed important and topical issues.
“Our main task in the BRICS parliamentary dimension is to provide legislative support to implement the decisions of the heads of states of the association,” he emphasized.
The high level of recognition of the role of BRICS in the world is proved by the participation of the UN Secretary General in the summit in Kazan, as this organization has a central role in maintaining peace and security, according to Vyacheslav Volodin.
“The plans of Washington and Brussels to isolate Russia have failed. The rule of Biden, Macron, Scholz is over. Countries want to live in a multipolar and just world. Where rules mutual respect, sovereign equality of states,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
