The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
noted that the West “has long been waging a war against traditional
values and world religions”.
“They burned the Koran, and mocked the Bible that we saw in France — all this has already been taking place for many years. This is horrible, and we should understand this. And by understanding that, we should protect our identity, our culture, our traditions, spiritual values, and pay more attention to morality,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to him, the parliamentarians should proceed from the need to adopt laws, including aimed at protecting children from such wrongful influence. One of such decisions is a ban on the adoption of children by citizens of those countries where gender reassignment is permitted. The relevant bill will be considered in September, as says the Chairman of the State Duma.
“These examples that we see with athletes, and the mockery of our saints during the Olympics and its opening — they say that Europe, just like the United States, is sick,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.
That had led to “surrogates”, as noted Vyacheslav Volodin, when men change their gender and are elected as politicians under “female quotas” and participate in competitions.
“It is absolutely obvious: when we talk about women's rights today, these are the rights of women, not surrogates — not substitutes who were men just yesterday, today they call themselves women, having artificially changed their last name and gender, but they do not become women,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
At the same time, according to the Chairman of the State Duma, there are still political forces in Europe that “fight for their countries, for children, for values and see our President as the protector of Christian values, values that are shared by representatives of other religions.” “And they also reject this fornication and much more – all this that is destroying humanity,” he added.
