with a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia,
co-chairman of the inter-parliamentary friendship group on cooperation with the State Duma Adies Kadir. Shamsail Saraliev, the head of the parliamentary group on cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia, noted the importance of active interaction between parliamentary friendship groups. Issues
of development of the parliamentary dialogue, cooperation between Russia and Indonesia in the field of trade, energy, transport, infrastructure and other
areas were discussed at the meeting.
“Next year we will mark 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia. Over the decades, our relations have managed to pass the test of strength, while preserving their traditionally friendly nature. Today, Indonesia is an important partner of Russia in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region,” emphasized Shamsail Saraliev.
According to him, Indonesia's position on key international issues creates quite a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation in the formation of a multipolar world order.
“The potential for cooperation between Russia and Indonesia is truly enormous, especially in the areas of economic, trade, investment, and tourism. Our dialogue can contribute to the enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation and the improvement of relations in various areas,” added the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee.
