The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
on his Telegram channel. According to him,
the videos and photos of the event on the Internet show “the complete degradation
of European society.”
“They mocked the Bible and insulted our feelings, the feelings of Christians around the world. They made representatives of sexual minorities and moral freaks the key participants in the event, confused the participating countries, made athletes participate in all this against their will in the pouring rain, and raised an Olympic flag upside down,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
After thousands of angry and condemning comments, the official IOC account deleted the video of the opening ceremony, as noted the Chairman of the State Duma. “But, as they say, the Internet remembers everything, and it is impossible to erase such things from people's memories,” he added.
According to Vyacheslav Volodin, Russia made the right decision not to broadcast this obscurantism on TV. “Our views on culture, education, and moral values differ from those imposed by politicians in European countries,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
“Everything that we do not tolerate in our country was demonstrated in Paris as symbols of the time and era,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
He recalled that propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations, pedophilia, and gender reassignment is prohibited in Russia. “We have started to prepare a bill that will protect our children from being adopted or under guardianship by citizens of foreign countries where gender reassignment is permitted,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
“The Olympic organizers, led by Macron, having humiliated the entire Christian world, discredited themselves first and foremost, trampled the memory of their forefathers, who did a lot for the development of France,” concluded Vyacheslav Volodin.
