The American national debt exceeded$34.65 trillion, as noted Vyacheslav Volodin. According to him, over the last four years alone, its value in relation to GDP has increased from 107.2 to 131.5%.
“At the same time, the debt servicing costs are the most problematic item of expenditure: the amount of interest payments in the near future will cost about a third of US budget revenues,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
The ultraboundary growth of the American national debt shows that Washington has no plans to pay it back, according to Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Chairman of the State Duma stressed that the United States was used to solve its own problems at the expense of others. “To maintain its hegemony, they started a war in Ukraine and sacrificed the economy of the European Union. But that is not enough. Today they are again provoking military escalation, now in the Middle East,” he added.
“Washington will continue to create more and more military conflicts, trying to delay the default, as such borrowings will inevitably lead to that,” concluded Vyacheslav Volodin.
