Members of the State Duma at the plenary meeting unanimously supported the adoption of the address of the State Duma “To the Congress of the United States of America regarding recurrent terrorist act by Ukraine resulted in shooting down of the aircraft carrying out a humanitarian mission”.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Congressmen should realize who receives and how uses the US weapons send by President Biden to Ukraine.
Members of the State Duma recalled US Congressmen that Ukraine committed a terrorist act, as a result of which, on January 24, 2024, an IL-76 military transport aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was shot down over the territory of the Russian Federation near the village of Yablonovo, Korochansky district, Belgorod region, performing a flight to transport 65 captured Ukrainian servicemen for a prior agreement with the Russian Federation. There were also six crew members and three attendants on board. Everyone on board the plane died.
“The plane was hit by Ukrainian military formations from the Liptsy settlement in Kharkov region using a US-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. The attack on the plane was a premeditated and deliberate killing, as the exchange of prisoners between the Russian Federation and Ukraine had been agreed, including their delivery route”, stressed members of the State Duma.
“Support for neo-Nazi ideology and its incarnation in Ukraine only provokes the Kiev clique to continue terror and escalate violence, bringing the world closer to a global catastrophe”, the document says.
“Numerous facts show that a significant part of the deadly Western weapons supplied to the corrupt regime in Kiev end up in the hands of terrorists and radical extremists all over the world as a result of criminal machinations,” emphasized members of the State Duma and called on members of the US Congress “to condemn the crimes of the terrorist regime in Kiev, to withdraw their support for it and to help bring to justice the direct perpetrators of the inhumane terrorist act”.
