“When Washington and Brussels fail to bring their puppets to power in some states, there starts the well-known scenario: we hear the statements made in the USA and the European Union about electoral violations and non-recognition of the results, there are attempts to destabilize the situation from the outside, people are called to participate in riots, there are attempts to organize a coup. There is nothing new,” posted the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin

on his Telegram channel.

According to him, any state could face such challenges, if it “protects its independence, national interests and values”.

“Now we see the same situation in Serbia. The coalition of the incumbent President Aleksandar Vucic won the snap parliamentary elections. While those supported by Washington and Brussels were not supported by the citizens of the country,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.

The Chairman of the State Duma emphasized that “the basis of the sovereignty means the right of people to plan their future independently, choose their own leadership and path of development of their country”.

In this regard, the incumbent authorities of Serbia must protect the will of the Serbian people and the choice of the majority. In other case, as everyone knows, the state could stop to exist,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.

The Chairman of the State Duma recalled that the CSTO PA representatives observed the recent elections in Serbia. “They did not record any violations,” he noted.
