Vyacheslav Volodin: attempts by Washington and Brussels to isolate Africa and Russia have failed

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
commented RT that it was expected that delegations
from 39 countries would take place in the Conference. “Many of them have already
come to Russia and are holding meetings with their colleagues,” he added.
“For comparison, 36 delegations from African countries took part in the first Forum which was held in 2019,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.
“The increase in the number of participants confirms the special nature of friendly ties between Russia and Africa. Attempts by Washington and Brussels to isolate Africa and Russia have failed,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
He is convinced that “the parliaments can do a lot for further development of relations on the principles of respect, non-interference in internal affairs of other states and mutually beneficial cooperation”.
“Our Conference will be an important stage in the process of preparing for the Second Summit “Russia-Africa” which is planned to be held in Saint Petersburg this summer with participation of the heads of states,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
