Parliamentarians of the CSTO member states met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov
Sergey Lavrov noted the special role of inter-parliamentary dialogue
On February 1, at the Reception House of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a working meeting with the Chairmen of the Committees on International Affairs, Defence and Security of the parliaments of the CSTO member states.
“We highly appreciate the parliamentary efforts in the field of international relations,” stressed the Foreign Minister.
Sergey Lavrov noted the special role of the inter-parliamentary dialogue.
“Parliamentarians subtly feel the requests of citizens. This is important for building cooperation between our countries,” said Sergey Lavrov.
“The CSTO parliamentary dimension is an important dimension of the organization, bringing closer the positions of our countries,” emphasized Sergey Lavrov at the meeting.
On February 1, the second meeting of Chairmen of the Committees on International Affairs, Defence and Security of the parliaments of the CSTO member states was held at the State Duma. The meeting participants discussed the military-political situation in the regions of the CSTO area of responsibility.
