“The leaders of the Baltic states have repeatedly stated that for 30 years they have been building independent states,” posted the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
on his Telegram channel. “In fact, all decisions are made in Washington and Brussels. Their sovereignty had been lost. People's interests are being ignored,” he stressed.

He noted the fact that the population of the Baltic countries decreased by almost a quarter: in Latvia by 30.5%, in Lithuania by 28.4%, in Estonia by 15.4%. According to Vyacheslav Volodin, only one-third of the population actually lives in the Baltic states, while the majority are working in other European countries. In addition, their economic results were the worst in the European Union, as he stressed.

“The only thing that the ruling regimes of these countries are good at is Russophobia. Their local authorities are competing who insult Russia more,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.

The Chairman of the State Duma noted the fact of the most terrible violations of human rights in the Baltic states than anywhere: constant infringement of rights of national minorities, they are not allowed to speak their native language, and independent journalists and human rights activists are being persecuted.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, cooperation with those countries is impossible due to the loss of their independence.

“The decision to downgrade the diplomatic relations with Estonia and Latvia should have been made long ago. Dead cannot die again,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
