“For Moscow, the existence
of Ukraine as an “anti-Russia” project is unacceptable; for Moscow, the NATO expansion
closer to our borders is unacceptable; for Moscow, entry of foreign troops in Ukraine
and extension of the conflict to the member states of the alliance with the participation, for example, of the Poles in the conflict, is a direct security
threat. Anyone who raises a weapon against a Russian soldier will be
destroyed,” said Petr Tolstoy

According to the parliamentarian, it is very important to use every opportunity to convey Russia’s position in the current situation when the Western media predominate in the world with clichés and narratives about our country, and all negotiations were frozen at Kiev’s initiative.
“We drew special attention to the historical reasons for the current situation: neglect of our interests that we have seen over the past 30 years, and it has led to such dramatic events. Today, the conditions for a dialogue are being determined on the battlefields, and it is in the interests of Ukraine and the fraternal Ukrainian people to find a way out of the current situation as soon as possible and stop being a weapon against Russia in the hands of the Western states,” Petr Tolstoy concluded.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, such meetings will be held again in the same format.
