The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
and the delegation of the LPR People's Council headed by its Chairman Denis Miroshnichenko was held at the State Duma. The chairmen of the relevant State Duma committees also took part in the meeting.

“It would be right to create a joint working group and calculate the amount of damage caused to the LPR by the Kiev regime, NATO member states supplying both weapons and ammunition, mercenaries who brought tears and death to the LPR and DPR,” said the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin at the meeting.

“We should study this issue to present facts to the Kiev regime, Washington and Brussels, and they should pay for the destruction and be responsible for the victims in the LPR and DPR,” he added.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, this issue should be studied at the working level and there should be reached an agreed decision.

“The time will come to present our calculations to those who did this and hold them accountable,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.

He recalled that they had previously discussed such issue with parliamentarians from the Crimea and they had already calculated the damage caused to the republic.

People are waiting for solutions

In addition, the meeting participants discussed issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation and convergence of the legislations of the two countries. The working group of the parliaments of Russia and the LPR will also be involved in harmonization of legislative aspects.

“There is a lot of work that should be done to modernize the LPR legislation. It is very important to develop laws on education, health care, and social protection in the shortest possible time. People are waiting for that. When there is a legislative basis, it is possible to solve their problems,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.

Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized: “We should do everything to ensure that relations within the parliamentary dimension are effective, so that we feel each other's support and focus on the final results.”

He called on the LPR parliamentarians to build ties with the relevant committees of the State Duma and do everything to ensure the effectiveness of such dialogue.

“Any dialogue is like a two-way street. We should develop relations within the framework of the parliamentary dimension. There can be a lot of issues during the process of harmonization of legislations,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.

In turn, Denis Miroshnichenko, the Chairman of the LPR People's Council, said: “We used the standard of Russian legislation, we have a relevant basis.”

Fateful decision for the LPR

The Chairman of the LPR People's Council stressed at the meeting: “We are all together, we are one nation.”

“I am convinced that in the near future this nation will make another fateful decision. And I clearly understand that we have great responsibilities. People who had been living in the war conditions for eight years, who truly know what real tragedy is, they will make a historical decision,” said Denis Miroshnichenko.

“Russia is our Motherland. Russia is our mother,” added the Chairman of the LPR People’s Council.

Denis Miroshnichenko stressed that “the entire Lugansk region did not support the coup d'etat that took place in Kiev.”

According to him, Western propaganda, the Western media are top grade liars: “I, as a Lugansk resident who did not leave Lugansk in 2014, am being told that we shoot ourselves. But we know that they fired from the “liberated” Shchastia city.

“I am convinced that no lie will ever withstand the truth. But I would like to stress that our parliament has a great responsibility. I am convinced that with your help we will be able to battle lies,” he said.
