The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
posted on his Telegram channel that the US President Joe Biden announced in the beginning of March that the United States had decided to ban oil, gas, and other energy supplies from Russia.

He noted the fact that the recent data provided by the Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy showed the opposite situation: in March, oil supplies from Russia almost doubled compared to February — from 2.325 million to 4.218 million barrels. According to him, now Russia is the sixth of the largest oil suppliers to the United States of America, while it was the ninth.

“At the same time, Washington made the EU states impose sanctions against Russia and not receive Russian energy resources. And the US authorities have managed to do that. There are simply double standards,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.

“The European politicians and officials should explain to their citizens why they should deal with Biden’s prices increase,” concluded Vyacheslav Volodin.
