The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
posted on his Telegram channel and noted the current difficult situation in Ukraine, as there were no full spring sowing activities in many of its regions. This could lead to food shortages, he added.

“It is impossible to export grain in any case. Ukrainians themselves will suffer from that,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.

He is convinced that it is necessary to understand the situation with the food balance in the country which could be there after the grain harvest in autumn.

The Chairman of the State Duma added that the European Union had banned the supplies of fertilizers from Russia and Belarus, and had already faced shortages or complete absence, for example, of potash fertilizers.

“The adopted sanctions were thoughtless. First of all, they affected those countries that already experienced food problems. They led to an increase in grain prices in all states, including in Europe,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.

He added that such actions could lead to famine in many countries of the world by the end of the year.

“Biden and Zelensky will achieve their goal and they will be remembered as the presidents whose actions led to famine,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
