The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)

He recalled that Gazprom had halted gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland.
“That is the right decision, members of the State Duma support it,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, “Bulgaria and Poland had the opportunity to take advantage of our President's proposal to pay for natural gas supplies in rubles. The mechanism has been defined.”
“The leaders of these countries do not want to do that. They should explain to their citizens how they will deal with the situation and whose interests they were guided by when they made such a decision,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.
“It is also necessary to make the same decisions on other unfriendly countries,” he concluded.
