Vyacheslav Volodin: members of the State Duma to discuss situation in LPR and DPR at the next plenary meeting

He recalled that Kiev had been shooting citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics for a day.
Thousands of refugees, women with children are fleeing the war. The Chairman of the State Duma also recalled that security conference was held in Munich on the same day, while none of the European politicians was concerned about the civilians of Donbas who were forced to leave their homes.

“Instead of worrying about the fate and lives of people, the Western politicians are trying to justify Kiev’s actions, repeating their threats against us like a mantra: if Russia tries to protect its citizens and compatriots living in the DPR and LPR, we will impose new unprecedented sanctions,” he said.
Vyacheslav Volodin stressed that the sanctions “do not frighten anyone, as we have already been living in such conditions for eight years.”
“That definitely creates problems, as it is better to cooperate and develop relations than to conflict. But it was not our initiative to impose restrictive measures,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
“Secondly, everyone has understood that there will be sanctions against Russia anyway,” he continued. “It does not matter if we did something or not, we will do it or not, Washington and Brussels will always find a reason to blame us,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.
Vyacheslav Volodin recalled that the day before Vladimir Putin at a press conference after a meeting with Alexander Lukashenko had stated: “There is only one reason — they want to halt development of our country. We must not let them do that.”
“We will discuss these issues at the next plenary meeting of the State Duma,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
