Vyacheslav Volodin proposed to develop new formats within the framework of the CSTO PA
He stressed that challenges of the time should be taken into account when developing new formats

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
recalled that the current format includes
meetings twice a year, but “that is not enough”, thus, proposals for holding
round tables and conferences were announced at today's meeting.
“Maybe it would be right for us to develop new formats taking into account the challenges of the time,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
He instructed the CSTO PA Secretariat to study the experience of similar structures, as parliamentary assemblies, and analyze the proposals announced at the today's meeting.
“And, of course, there should be our own proposals, based on the realities of the times, so that we can discuss those proposals before the next meeting of the council,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
“We should consider that issue and, maybe, take a decision later that will help to make the CSTO PA more productive and effective in solving the tasks,” he said.
