“Adoption of such report of the European Parliament is an unfriendly act. We consider that as an attempt to interfere in our internal affairs and put pressure on our citizens who should make their own choice,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.
“We will not tolerate such resolutions. Moreover, they are adopted in advance, as our citizens have not
voted yet. Only they themselves will decide who will be in power and putting pressure
on them is unacceptable. We will do everything to protect our country from such
unfriendly actions and we realized that this was an attempt to halt Russia’s

The Chairman of the State Duma stressed that observers would monitor the elections in Russia.
“Our elections are transparent unlike the same electoral processes in the United States of America and the European states,” he stressed.
“You should focus on your states, address the issues of the citizens who elect you. As for the citizens of Russia, they will make their own decision which candidates should be supported and voted for. We value our country and will do everything to ensure that Russia is developing and is a strong state,” concluded Viacheslav Volodin.
